Default Argh! Rail Dust

Has anyone tried to remove rail dust? My car has a horrible case of it all over, even on the plastic and chrome bits.

I should take it to the dealer as it's only a year old, but if I can do it or get it done for less effort than putting the stock intake back on and unmarrying the AccessPort then I will make out overall.

Just needs a good claying, certainly something you can take car of yourself. Here's a good walk-through for you: http://www.autopia.org/forum/guide-d...-cleaning.html

Clay bar is good stuff and should help out with that... did the entire Lexus today + cleaner, polish, and wax... thing shines now.

On a side note, did you know they are producing a new Fiesta........ oh yeah, believe it!

3M also has a few agressive compounds that will take it out, but you need to step it up back to a fine compound and polish after.

Thanks everyone for the replies. I have a Maguiars clay bar kit and a beautiful afternoon. Fingers crossed!

I knew that the Fiesta was coming over, but lost interest when it wasn't going to be sold as a Mazda 2. I was really hoping for a Mazdaspeed 2, but I think I'm in the wrong country for a micro-rocket. Too many kids in Explorers not paying attention and running into people I know.
